Fact Sheet - Dya Incursion

Edited

ROOM & ACCESS

  • One dedicated classroom/art room is required for the full duration of the workshop.

  • The room must comfortably accommodate all participating students with adequate table space.

  • Please advise in advance if the room requires stair access, long-distance equipment transport, or restricted access points.

  • Wet areas/sinks are strongly recommended for painting workshops.

SETUP & SESSION FLOW

  • Workshops are designed to run in one room with consecutive sessions and a scheduled reset period between groups.

  • Changes to room allocation, furniture setup, or session timing on the day may affect workshop delivery and pacing.

  • If tables/chairs need to be rearranged between sessions, adequate transition time must be allocated.

STAFFING & FACILITATION

  • Dya workshops are delivered by one Lead Facilitator.

  • Additional Dya staff may attend in support, coordination or logistical roles depending on the workshop structure.

  • To ensure consistency and flow, Dya facilitators lead the teaching pace and creative instruction throughout the session.

COMMUNICATION

  • Final workshop logistics must be confirmed at least 3 business days prior to the incursion.

  • Any changes to:

    • student numbers,

    • room allocation,

    • accessibility,

    • or session scheduling

must be communicated before the workshop date.

TEACHER SUPPORT

  • Classroom teachers are expected to remain present during sessions in line with school supervision requirements.

  • We welcome teacher participation while allowing facilitators to guide the workshop process and timing.
